‘LA ETERNA PRIMAVERA: THE ETERNAL SPRING’
‘La Eterna Primavera’ at Cigalon presents ten new artworks by Nick Jeffrey that give a comprehensive view of his farmed butterfly art and runs from the 9th to the 24th of May 2018.
The exhibition is being run in partnership with Cigalon, Pascal Aussignac, Alas de Colombia and NJJ Art to help raise awareness about conservation and new initiatives in sustainable insect farming.
The new body of work has been created using farmed specimens, and predominantly those from Colombia; the fatherland of Medellin, the city of ‘The Eternal Spring’. Each of the artworks for sale will help support this new, intelligent way of connecting a local community with their local environment, and help them to protect it.
This is your opportunity to help protect and conserve the rain forest of El Arenillo, and to support local communities farming butterflies sustainably in Colombia. A percentage of all proceeds from the exhibition will be donated to Alas de Colombia to help them continue with their valuable cause in protecting the environment and improving their community.
‘Le Chef Paski’, together with his team at Cigalon, has provided a delicious menu and an excellent Provençal style setting for the artworks to be enjoyed in. If you prefer a drink pre or post lunch or dinner, then there is a chic Basque country cocktail bar downstairs, Baranis. Come and have a cocktail over a casual game of pétanque and view the art exhibition whilst enjoying first class French cuisine, or arrange a private viewing between service hours.
